Driven by curiosity, we embarked on our first documentary journey across Iraq in November 2022, seeking to understand a world often misunderstood. What began as a tireless, month-long adventure soon evolved into a vision: a digital space where stories, projects, and visuals from like-minded creatives could converge, amplifying voices and perspectives too often overlooked.Yutori, the Japanese concept of intentionally creating space and time for what truly matters, lies at the heart of our collective. Dominika Silvia Sankowska
Dominika is an Italo-Polish photographer, director, and writer currently based in Berlin. Raised in the heart of the Mediterranean, her practice is deeply influenced by a fascination with visual anthropology and the aesthetics of remote life. She seeks out the quiet resilience of communities living at the edges of the modern world as well as places that exist between dream and reality. She believes that beauty is found in stillness and simplicity, often using analogue photography to capture the delicate, dreamlike textures of life.Through her travels and documentation, she seeks to create visual bridges that invite viewers to witness the beauty of a world often unseen, reflecting on the delicate balance between heritage and the encroaching modern age.Giuseppe Pirrotta
Giuseppe is an Italian filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller currently based in Amsterdam. Rooted in a background of Archaeology and Heritage Studies, his practice is deeply shaped by research, context, and a profound respect for the people and cultures he documents. Giuseppe seeks out the quiet resilience of communities whose voices are often overlooked by the modern world. His work is built on the belief that documentary storytelling can serve as a living archive, preserving disappearing knowledge and connecting distant realities through human experience.
